Crimson Gully is a socio-political drama set in a fictional red light district in India that questions society’s false morals surrounding misogyny, class division, corruption and honesty. The production brings together dance, music and the best acting talent from Perth’s Indian community.

Each year, the Yirra Yaakin Theater Company brings together emerging Indigenous writers to work with seasoned Indigenous playwrights. In 2020, Bruce Denny used it to turn his thoughts on family and connection to country into a truly moving and funny play called OPERATION BOOMERANG, which is as funny as it is poignant.
