Western Heights High School’s Zenith dance team wins the DanceNZMade national title in Palmerston North

Western Heights High School’s Zenith dance team has won the DanceNZMade national title in Palmerston North.

Western Heights High School’s Zenith dance team danced not only to the title of 11-13 senior national champions, but also to the title of overall national champions at the school’s DanceNZMade Nationals in Palmerston North this month.

This is the third time they have won the overall title, having previously been champions in 2016 and 2022.

This follows their success earlier this year, finishing second in the Varsity/Intermediate/Beginner division at Project Tauranga in June and becoming senior small team champions at the Unite New Zealand Regional Hip Hop Schools competition in Wellington in July.

They also won the Senior 11-13 title and were overall regional champions at the DanceNZMade Rotorua Regionals in August.

This was followed by first place and the title of Most Outstanding Hip Hop Dance Team at the Queenstown Hip Hop Unite NZ Schools Nationals in September.
