CFA District 20 trains together ahead of fire season

Around 80 volunteer firefighters took part in the training, including representatives from CFA units Echuca, Echuca Village, Bawaum Action, Stanhope, Kyabram, Rochester, Lockington, Timmering, Pinegrove, Torrumbarry, Girgarre, Tongala, Yambuna, Cotta, Tennyson and Gunbower.

The exercise took place at Echuca Airport off Denmark Road, as well as in the surrounding areas of Lockington, Bamom Action and Echuca Village.

With fire danger season approaching, which begins at 1 a.m. on Monday, November 4, the training will be important training ahead of the wildfire season.
