With just 63 days until Christmas, shoppers can now start counting down the days with these new festive essentials.

The felt advent calendar will be available in Aldi stores soon, priced at just €4.99.

The product description reads: “Get ready for the holidays with this felt advent calendar.

“This advent requires you to fill the door yourself, so make it a tradition and fill it with your favorite treats.”

It also has a 24-day advent and you can choose red or white.

Another affordable item is the Book of Characters advent calendar for only €9.99.

This holiday season, you can delight your little ones with a new and exciting calendar of events.

This creative new advent calendar will allow your little ones to immerse themselves in the world of Disney characters and all their magical stories.

The Puzzle/Sensory Advent Calendar will also be available in stores, priced at €11.99.

The wooden advent calendar will also be available for just €14.99.

You can choose Winter Forest or Advent Calendar.

Aldi bosses said: “Get ready for the holidays with this wooden advent calendar.

“This stunning advent calendar is handcrafted and includes 24 stunning drawers and a gorgeous winter scene.”

Christmas items go on sale on Sunday 27 October.

ALDI HISTORY

The German discount supermarket chain came to Ireland in 1999.

The first few Aldi stores opened in November 1999 in Sandyford, Dublin and Ballincollig, Cork.

By the mid-2000s, Aldi executives opened many stores, focusing on providing high-quality products at low prices.

When the recession hit from 2008 to 2012, Aldi’s popularity grew as consumers became more price-conscious.

The supermarket giant continued its expansion in Ireland between 2013 and 2018, while modernizing existing stores.

By 2018, Aldi had more than 130 stores nationwide.

The chain began to focus on expanding its range of Irish-made products and supporting local producers.

In 2023, Aldi had over 140 stores in Ireland.

The store has invested in sustainability initiatives such as reducing the use of plastic packaging and increasing the availability of organic and sustainable products.

Aldi bosses said: “At Aldi we are committed to supporting Irish suppliers. Developed in partnership with Bord Bia, the Grow with Aldi program is designed to help Ireland’s top suppliers grow their brand.

“We have invested €10 million to date in our Grow with Aldi development programme, aiming to source the very best Irish suppliers.

“As a result, over 47 new products from 27 Irish suppliers are available in store for a limited time only.”

Aldi has introduced technological advancements in the form of self-checkout systems and contactless payment options.
