North Island Credit Union Celebrates “One World through Cooperative Finance” on International Credit Union Day®

SAN DIEGO, California., October 21, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — On October 17, 2024North Island Credit Union joined credit unions around the world to celebrate International Credit Union Day®, an annual event celebrating the impact and achievements of the credit union movement. This year marks 76 years.^th anniversary of this annual event, which was celebrated under the slogan “One World through Cooperative Finance”.

North Island Credit Union celebrated the occasion with a special celebration at its newest shopping center in the city. Escondido. Credit union members, comrade San Diego credit unions and local elected officials came together to recognize the enormous impact credit unions have on their members and local communities.

During the celebration, proclamations were presented by Senator Brian W. JonesSenate Minority Leader and Representative California 40th Senate District, Representative’s Office Darrell IssaUS Congressman California 48th Congressional District and Escondido Mayor Dane White Appreciating the contribution of credit unions to San Diego communities and expressing appreciation for their service and commitment.

Since 1948, International Credit Union Day® has been celebrated annually on the third Thursday of October.
