A man has died in a tractor rollover at Helens Hill, near Ingham, north Queensland.

A man has died after being hit by a tractor on a road in north Queensland.

A 61-year-old man was pinned under a tractor when emergency services attended the scene on Larkins Road in Helens Hill, north of Townsville, about 7am on Tuesday.

Paramedics rushed him to Ingham Hospital with serious injuries.

A helicopter was called to the hospital to take him to another location for further treatment.

He died from his injuries before he could be flown out.

Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact the police.

Investigations are ongoing.
