“Through partnerships and collaborative principles, CDF Canada takes a data-driven approach to building capacity, promoting economic self-reliance and influencing local co-operative policies for sustainable growth. Gill will support these initiatives and help define the organization’s strategic vision, according to the latest press release.

The CDF director position is a volunteer position, in addition to his current role as CEO and executive director of Valleyview Co-op.

“I am honored to join CDF Canada in its mission to promote sustainability and financial inclusion through a collaborative model. I look forward to working with our dedicated team, partners and communities to make a lasting impact and build a more just world,” shares Gill.

With an impressive 32 years’ experience in the co-operative sector, Greg Gill has dedicated 24 years to transformative leadership, including 20 years in senior management positions with four local co-operatives and as a business consultant to Federated Co-operatives Limited. Gill’s experience spans a variety of sectors including not-for-profit, for-profit and cooperatives. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed complex portfolios spanning operations, finance, marketing, administration and human resources.

Gill joins CDF Canada at a pivotal time in its history. The organization is expanding its global initiatives to connect access to agriculture and finance, support women’s economic empowerment, and build resilience to climate change.

“It’s definitely different from what I’m used to, but I can see it being very independent and very rewarding in that regard,” he adds.
