Trump to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast as Election Day approaches

JILL COLVIN Associated Press – Former President Donald Trump will interview Joe Rogan on Friday for his popular podcast.

A person familiar with the plans confirmed the news to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity before Joe Rogan’s podcast shared the news on social media.

Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, and Rogan have a complicated history. While they shook hands and spoke briefly during the UFC fight, Trump criticized Rogan after he said then-candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. was the only one who made sense to him.

“Will it be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets booed the next time he steps into a UFC ring??? MAGA2024,” Trump wrote on his social media page in August.

Rogan later clarified that his comments were not an endorsement of Kennedy. Kennedy ultimately suspended his bid and endorsed Trump.

Both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, have appeared on a variety of popular podcasts as Election Day approaches. Trump’s speeches tend to target young men.
