Latin America is coming to Liverpool this month with a three-day spectacle of food, dance and entertainment that will light up Macquarie Mall.

Primavera, part of Liverpool Council’s Experience the World events programme, will bring South American traditions to life in a colorful extravaganza under the stars on 25-27 October.

The events have attracted tens of thousands of people to the shopping center and Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannun says Primavera will also resonate with Liverpool locals and visitors.

“I like these cultural events. This is a chance for everyone to have a lot of fun while experiencing the lifestyle, food and attractions of other countries.

“Liverpool Council’s award-winning cultural events program ‘Experience the World’ boosted the local economy by over $25 million last year and attracted over 600,000 people to Liverpool city centre.

“We proudly acknowledge the financial support from the NSW Government and sponsorship of Liverpool Plaza,” he said.

Traditions built over centuries will be showcased, along with food, flavours, vibrant colors and intoxicating rhythms, showcasing the best that South America has to offer.

South American dance performers will roam the grounds and make great photo partners.

On stage, dance groups, singers, Latin and mariachi groups, as well as solo singers and bands will provide hours of entertainment.

Over 30 food stalls ensure that everyone can go home well-fed.

The delicious history of South America’s mouth-watering cuisine will be showcased, including tastings of traditional and modern Latin American dishes with our delicious queue of stalls!

Enjoy flaky empanadas, savory birria tacos and sweet churros, tamales, chorizo ​​wraps, arepas, nachos, quesadillas and patacones.
