Class P: Five sailors selected to represent North Harbor.

Tanner’s trials in North Harbor came to an end after two intense days of sailing at the Whakatere Boat Club.

Whakatera had six sailors entered and Murrays Bay Sailing Club had 13, meaning five sailors could be selected to represent the North Harbor province.

Whakatere’s Hamish Brown and Arthur Rebbeck qualified in first place, followed by Murrays Bay’s Nathan Soper, Finlaw Gates and Blake Batten.

WBC sailors George Renall, Lucas Kandziora and Elsie Carrier, new to the P’s, showed great potential.

The 2025 Tanner Cup will be played from 6-8 January 2024 at Charteris Bay.
