SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) – An overnight fire closed a Summerville roadway while crews worked the scene.

Berkeley County spokeswoman Jenna-Lee Walls said North Main Street was closed in both directions between Royle Road and Culvers due to the fire.

The tracks have since reopened.

Walls said the fire started around 11 p.m. Tuesday and continued into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The fire reportedly occurred in a vacant building next to the CVS on North Main Street.

No injuries were reported.
