A man has died at Hamilton train station as police investigate the circumstances.

British Transport Police are investigating the death of a man at a train station.

Emergency services were called to Hamilton Central at around 4.28pm on October 22 following reports of a medical emergency.

Medical teams were also sent to help, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is currently ongoing to establish the circumstances of the death.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Hamilton Central railway station at 4.28pm on Tuesday (October 22) to a report of a medical emergency.

“An ambulance was also present, but unfortunately the person was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation is ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to their deaths.”
