    2024 polls: lists of candidates from BJP, Congress and other states

    By-elections to 48 Assembly seats and two parliamentary constituencies in 15 states will be held in two phases next month, the Election Commission said.

    While 47 Assembly constituencies and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat will go to polls on November 13, voting for one Uttarakhand Assembly seat and Maharashtra’s Nanded parliamentary constituency will be held on November 20.

    The counting of votes will take place on November 23, when the results of the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will also be declared, the commission said.

    Five constituencies in Assam, four in Bihar, six in West Bengal, nine in Uttar Pradesh, seven in Rajasthan, four in Punjab, three in Karnataka, two each in Kerala, Sikkim and Madhya Pradesh and one seat each in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Meghalaya and Uttarakhand will participate in the by-elections, the EC said.
