Average improvement on US Highway 33 – Installing a cable barrier along US 33 in Franklin and Fairfield counties from Gender Road to the emergency turnaround between Hill Daly and Pickerington roads. Estimated completion is October 2024. Ongoing Impacts: Motorists can expect roadside closures along US 33 to allow cable barriers to be installed.

Ohio 159 Bridge Replacement – This project involves replacing the Ohio 159 Bridge, which carries Ohio 159 over Muddy Prairie Run, north of Pleasant Valley Road. The estimated completion of the project is October 2024. Continued Impact: Ohio 159 is open to traffic.

Meetings

Fairfield County Engineer Jeremiah D. App will hold the annual town trustees meeting at 2:00 p.m., Oct. 23, at the Fairfield County Engineer’s office; 3026 West Fair Avenue.

A meeting with candidates will be held on October 22 at 7:00 pm at the Walnut Township School Auditorium in Millersport. The community is invited to meet the candidates on the local ballot.
