HOLLYWOOD, MD. – On October 21, 2024, at approximately 6:00 a.m., Fire and Rescue responded to a fire on St. John’s Road in the Harris Lane area of ​​Hollywood, Maryland.

Crews arrived to find several barns on fire, where ammunition had reportedly exploded. The fire spread to two trailers; one had apparently been converted into habitation. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 6:30 a.m. with extensive cleanup efforts.

Police were called to the scene due to an aggressive homeowner. Animal control was asked to assist with dogs at the scene.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified and called to the scene to investigate the cause.
