Army defensive end Bryson Daley is the Associated Press College Football Player of the Week for his performance against East Carolina. The Black Knights quarterback threw for five touchdowns and scored another in a 42-28 victory. This made him the first Army player to score six touchdowns in a game since 1916.

Daily’s five rushing touchdowns set a program record for most in a game. Miami’s Cam Ward ranks second in his 300-yard passing game with four touchdowns against Louisville. Navy’s Dashaun Peel is among the players honored with two interception touchdowns.

The Black Knights quarterback threw for five touchdowns and threw for another in a 42-28 win over East Carolina, making him the first Army player to throw six touchdowns since Elmer Oliphant in 1916. Daily’s five rushing touchdowns set a program record for most touchdowns. game.

The 6-foot, 221-pound senior from Abernathy, Texas, finished with 171 yards rushing on 31 carries and 7-of-10 passing for 147 yards.

He holds the school record for touchdown passes with 26 with five games left in the regular season. His nation-leading 19 rushing touchdowns are also a school record.

Daly ranks first in the American Athletic Conference and fourth nationally with 129.9 rushing yards per game for the 23rd-ranked Knights (7-0).

UCLA quarterback Ethan Garbers set career highs with four touchdown passes and 383 yards passing in a 35–32 win over Rutgers.

– North Texas WR DT Sheffield had 75 yards of touchdowns on the Mean Green’s first two offensive plays in a 52-44 loss to Memphis. He had a 75-yard run on UNT’s first play from scrimmage and a 75-yard reception on the second.

— Iowa State CB Jontez Williams intercepted a pass in four straight games, becoming the first ISU player to do so since Ronnie Osborne in 1982.

— Michigan’s point total in a 21-7 loss to Illinois was its lowest since a 31-0 loss to Notre Dame in 2014. The Wolverines have scored at least 10 points in 100 straight games.

— Clemson recorded five 500-yard games in its first seven games for the first time.

— Tennessee’s 24-17 win over Alabama became the first team to defeat the Crimson Tide by so few points since Mississippi State won 23-17 in 2014.

— Indiana is the only Bowl Subdivision program that does not allow any points scored in the first quarter.
