HAMILTON — A 20-year-old Missoula man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Hamilton last week.

Nicholas John Demchak is accused of shooting at a home on Grantsdale Road near Hamilton on the morning of October 17, 2024.

Charging documents say the resident of the home was home when shots were fired through the sliding glass doors.

Court documents also show that when deputies arrived, they found Demchak in a car outside the home.

Demchak faces several felony charges, including attempted premeditated murder, criminal endangerment and intimidation.

He has also been charged with a number of offences.

The judge set Demchak’s bail at $500,000.
