Trump fled stage after gunshot scare in Pennsylvania

Trump was in Pennsylvania when he was rushed off stage with a bloody face. According to the Associated Press:

Donald Trump was dragged off stage at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, after shots were fired into the crowd.

Trump was showing a chart of the number of border crossings when a boom was heard in the crowd. Trump could be seen extending his right hand to his neck. There appeared to be blood on his face.

He quickly ducked behind the riser as his security agents rushed onto the stage and screams were heard from the crowd. The blows continued as the agents tended to him on stage.

The crowd cheered as he stood up again and shook his fist.

His motorcade left the scene. His condition was not immediately known.

Police began leaving the fairgrounds shortly after Trump left the stage.

The U.S. Secret Service and other law enforcement agencies did not immediately respond to the reports.

Leaving a Mass in Rehoboth Beach, President Joe Biden simply replied, “No,” when asked if he had been briefed on the incident.
