Adelaide Animal Emergency Center moves after 35 years

The Adelaide Animal Emergency Response Center (AAERC) is packing up and moving to a new location after 35 years.

After several years of dedicated service to the community, the center will move from its current Kurralta Park to Norwood on October 28th to make way for the new highway.

It will open on 1 November as the Greencross Veterinary Center and will be located adjacent to the Adelaide Veterinary and Referral Center (AVSARC), making it one of the few centers in South Australia to offer a combined general practice (GP), emergency and referral centre. veterinary service.

Di Watling, business manager at Greencross Veterinary Centre, said they are very excited to be entering this new chapter.

“By locating our GP, emergency and referral services in one place, we make it easier for pet owners to receive comprehensive veterinary care without having to travel between clinics.”

The Norwood site will be expanded to accommodate both team members and equipment from Kurralta Park. This expansion provides a more integrated model of care, offering pet owners easy access to routine exams, urgent care and dermatology services—all under one roof.

“We are pleased to continue to provide the highest level of care for local pets in this new, state-of-the-art facility and look forward to serving the community for many years to come.”

The new GP services will run alongside existing emergency services, ensuring clients continue to receive high quality veterinary services.
