Today, eleven cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture received agreements to use financial support in the amount of 9.2 million denars, which will be used to purchase ten tractors, five tractor trailers and forest harvesters.

The support is also intended to cover the basic expenses of cooperatives, the recruitment of professional persons, the average salary of a leader… In the first year, 100 percent of eligible salary costs will be covered, with a reduction of 20 percent. every subsequent year for a period of no more than five years.

At the conference, organized on the occasion of International Cooperative Day, it was emphasized that currently 42 cooperatives are registered in the country, of which 40 are active. Most of them are employed in horticulture and horticulture, while fewer are involved in animal husbandry.

As noted by the director of the Payment Agency, Nikolce Babovski, who distributed the agreements, with financial support from the state for the acquisition of a modernized mechanism, this directly affects the increase in the profitability of agricultural production, while cooperatives become more competitive, both in terms of price and quality.
