Police are searching for a woman after she attacked a baby while it was being held by its mother at a shopping center in Perth’s south-east.

The mother was holding her child at the shopping center in Victoria Park East at about 1.25pm ​​when the woman approached the child and assaulted him before leaving the area.

The child suffered facial injuries.

Police are still searching for the woman, who is described as having a medium build, a bleached shaved head, and wearing a pink tank top, gray shorts with white stripes and blue shoes.

She is unknown to mother and child.
