PETALING JAYA: A soldier who had just given birth to his first child died allegedly due to dehydration during training at Camp Terendak in Malacca on Tuesday, October 22.

Sinar Harian reported that the day before the incident, the late LBdr Mohd Izuan Hafiz Mohd Supian, 26, of 361 Bti RAD (Couple) unit, uploaded a photo on his social media of their holiday with his wife and child in Cameron Highlands.

It is understood that the late soldier, who had been married for less than a year, was buried at Kuala Sungai Baru Cemetery in Melaka on Wednesday (Oct 23).

In a TikTok post, friends described Mohd Izuan Hafiz as a kind man and were saddened to learn of his passing.

Meanwhile, 10th Brigade (Para) commander Major General Datuk Khairul Azmizal Ahmad Natal and the entire brigade also expressed sadness and offered condolences to Mohd Izuan’s family.

“May Allah grant strength to his family and we pray that the soul of the deceased will always be blessed with mercy and placed among the faithful,” he said.
