What is the Leave No Trace spotlight?

What is the Leave No Trace spotlight?

NORTHAMPTON, MA / ACCESSWIRE / October 23, 2024 / Subaru of America, Inc.

Leave No Trace Spotlight combines our shared love of nature with a commitment to preserving its well-being and beauty.

The spotlights are designed to galvanize local Leave No Trace efforts by uniting the community, uniting partners and inspiring further action. This free program provides opportunities for Leave No Trace training, community outreach and volunteerism.

The selected spaces range from national parks and forests to state or municipal sites and local non-profits and organizations.

Nominate in the spotlight

How does this work

  1. Sites nominate themselves to participate in the program.

  2. We hand-select nominated outdoor spaces that need our community’s care and attention.

  3. Leave No Trace and the selected sites work closely to plan and promote Spotlight.

  4. Our Subaru/Leave No Trace teams travel to Spotlight locations to conduct free educational workshops, community cleanups, restoration projects and more!

  5. You visit Spotlight to support conservation efforts in your community.

  6. These Spotlight locations benefit from the education, awareness and participation of the Leave No Trace community, resulting in an outdoor experience better than we found, where conservation and conservation are in full force.

“The Leave No Trace program at Mohonk Preserve was the catalyst our partnership needed to raise our Leave No Trace work to the highest standard. This event brought our employees and community together for stewardship projects, community engagement, educational experiences, and fun! the weekend taught us many things that we immediately applied to our work. It was an eye-opening experience for our organization that will benefit the land and community forever.”

“The Leave No Trace Spotlight program showcased and inspired our hidden treasure at the Clear Creek Natural Heritage Area in Denton, Texas. The Leave No Trace Spotlight team were organized and meticulously planned to ensure our Spotlight event went off very well. The marketing package was perfect for our marketing focus and included sample content.”

“Coordinating the Leave No Trace event at Red Rock Canyon NCA in 2022 was very enjoyable and educational! The training has truly changed the discussion we are having as a partner with BLM Red Rock Canyon about how we better communicate the impact of the Leave No Trace initiative.
