BROADALBYN – With big plays, the Scotland-Glenville Tartans kept their playoff hopes alive with a 34-19 victory over Broadalbyn-Perth on Friday night at Patriot Field.

Senior quarterback Austin Stark led the Tartans with 7-of-12 passing for 209 yards and three touchdowns, including an 82-yard strike to Nicholas Lemp and scoring passes of 48 and 17 yards to Logan Layton.

Scotia-Glenville running back Tanner Knaggs added a 70-yard touchdown on his 110-yard rushing performance.

The Patriots receivers were led by freshman quarterback Jason Poremba, who passed for 266 yards, including touchdown passes of 66 and 9 yards to Matthew Hewlett.

The Poremba-Hulett passing combination resulted in 181 first-half yards and two touchdowns on nine completions. The Tartans adjusted their defense to hold the game without a catch in the second half.

Both teams enter the game with 1-3 division records. Glens Falls, Mechanicville/Hoosick Valley and Hoosick Falls/Tamarack take the top three spots in the division.
