WELLINGTON, Fla., October 21, 2024 – The Future Challenge for five- and six-year-old horses will be launched at next year’s World Dressage Festival, joining the developing Grand Prix and Prix St. George competitions in the series.

The Young Horse Qualifying Competition will take place on the main International Arena, will be broadcast live and will be conducted under the supervision of an FEI Jury Panel, similar to the Grand Prix and St George’s competitions.

Although there is currently no sponsor for the first year of the increasingly important young horse division, there will be no class or stable fees for finalists in the 12th week that concludes the winter global race, said Thomas Baur, who with Monica Fitzgerald, Global manager .

Global will have an expanded Future Challenge schedule, as well as the top-ranked CDI5* and Nations Cup, the only such events in the Americas, three World Cup qualifiers and seven newly created US Open qualifiers leading to a $250,000 final.
